We are considered to be a upscale bright modern  grooming salon that owners and their dogs can trust and can rely on being a friendly and customer service based , clean and sanitary grooming salon.

We offer an open concept grooming area.
We generally groom small to medium sized dogs.

All groomers at It's a Furry Life Inc. are "Ontario Certified Professional Groomers".

All dogs are treated with the utmost compassion and care. We only use natural based and vet based products only. We are Veterinarian referred.

Grooming has been my passion for a number of years and in 2003 I decided to attend a private career college. I quit my office job for the last 14 years, and dedicated myself to the wonderful world of dogs.

Dog grooming needs to be a pleasant experience for your dog not a stressful situation.

I did extensive research a number of schools who" claimed to be the best". None of them were schools that were recognized by the Ministry of Education nor were they Certified courses and only 8 -10 week courses.

I found and attended B-pro Dog Grooming Academy located in Brampton, Ontario. They are only one of two schools in all of Ontario that are recognized by the Ministry of Education as a private career college.

During a nine month extensive grooming course where we were educated on how to clip to breed standard, as well as pet clips, and proper scissoring techniques and how not to just strip dogs down but to make them gorgeous and feel great. We were also taught how to properly handle dogs with care. First aid, breeds of dogs and what were they bred for, health issues, senior dogs, nutrition, sanitization, cleanliness, dealing with clients, and so on. Upon completion of the course I achieved Level 1, Level 2, & Level 3 professional grooming certificates with honors. I also achieved a nutritional certificate, so we can advise you on proper foods to be feeding your furry family member.

After working out of my home for a bit, I decided to work for a pet hospital and gain some more experience. In June 2004 I opened It’s a Furry Life, the exclusive modern upscale grooming salon in Woodbridge. I know that there are people who have been looking for creative stylists to groom their furry member of the family with respect and compassion and we are those creative dog stylists’ you've been looking for.



Amanda Perrotta – Joined It’s a Furry Life as a volunteer in 2008 to gain experience with dogs. In January 2008, Amanda attended B-pro Dog Grooming Academy she completed her course in October 2008. She has also volunteered at a local pet hospital, and has achieved a certificate as an animal care assistant from Sherdian College. Amanda is a Ontario Certified Dog Groomer

Brittany Lawrence- Joined It’s a Furry Life in September 2008. Brittany has achieved a certificate from B-pro dog Grooming Academy. Brittany has 6 years experience grooming. She was also a teaching assistant at B-pro Dog Grooming Academy for a number of years. She is a very creative dog stylist. Brittany is also a Ontario Certified Groomer.

Lorena Reyes – Joined It’s a Furry Life in August 2008. Lorena has achieved a certificate from B-pro dog Grooming Academy. She completed her course in October 2008. Lorena is a Ontario Certified Groomer. Creative dog stylist.
